Patricia A. Sullivan
Patricia A. Sullivan was admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts
in 1981. The following year, she was admitted to practice in the Federal
District Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
After working with various attorneys throughout the state, she founded
divorce and family law firm with one goal:
to serve the client.
Pat is known as a caring and devoted professional who gives her heart and
soul to her clients. She believes in an informed client and proactively
reaches out with status updates and reassurances, often almost instantaneously
responding to electronic communications.
As a committed and diligent advocate for families, Pat is known for her
openness, candor, and winning personality.
Over the years, Attorney Sullivan has served in the following positions:
- Family Court Bail Commissioner
- Certified Family Court Guardian Ad Litem
- Standing Master in Chancery (hearing judge)
- Civil Arbitrator
- Notary Public
- Former Administrative Hearing Officer for DEM
- Former Instructor at Bridgewater State College where she taught Family
Law and Corporate Law.
In addition to all these accomplishments, Pat is
distinguished as the first woman attorney to the Rhode Island Legislative
Counsel and the first woman legal counsel to a Jaycee Chapter after the
historic U.S. Supreme Court decision. She was legal counsel to the Environmental Study Commission and
received a gubernatorial award recognizing her service to the commission.
